ScioSense converter solutions for ultrasonic flow meters are built upon their extensive knowledge of using time-to-digital converters for precise time measurement.

Ultrasonic flow measurement is ideally suited for measuring time intervals of hundreds of microseconds at picosecond stability and precision at as little as a few µA of current usage.

Our integrated functional blocks enable users to have extremely small designs. The reciprocity and symmetry of the analog front-ends are optimized. We provide AFEs for low amplitude gas meter applications using the PGA and HV driver stages.

For low single-shot noise, the precision TDC core can measure multiple zero crossings zero crossings in a burst. A CPU that can perform both the whole flow calculation and initial filtering or regulating activities is another option for converters.

Lastly, we provide versions that enable users to quickly go from development to market since they already have a flow firmware embedded. By emphasizing an intelligent front-end, we allow the user complete control over the central processor. This makes the transition from mechanical to ultrasonic sensors more simpler.
