TDC-GP30 & TDC-GP30-F01 ULTRASONIC FLOW CONVERTERs
The TDC-GP30 and TDC-GP30-F01 are ultrasonic flow converters used in high-end smart water meters (R400 and R800).
Millions of installations have attested to its resolution and temperature stability (offset drift) capabilities. It is the solution with the lowest power consumption at higher sample rates, including the flow calculation (8.5µA at 8 Hz sample rate), and it significantly streamlines the design of ultrasonic heat and water meters.
It controls all aspects of the ultrasonic process, including operating the piezos, amplitude monitoring, first-hit level detection, and collecting the received bursts using an offset-stabilized zero-crossing detector.
It is possible to do filtering, averaging, and even full flow calculations with the embedded CPU.
Two package variations for the TDC-GP30 are available for the application of an external amplifier: QFN32 (YD) and QFN40 (YA).
Because the TDC-GP30Yx-F01 already has flow firmware on board, designing ultrasonic water meters is made easier and time to market is shortened. It handles every aspect of ultrasonic measurement, giving users complete control over the central processor of the meter and allowing them to stick with their current platforms and software libraries.
